| GOD IS SO GOOD
Our Lord and Savior never ceases to amaze me. February 13, 2011 on Sunday afternoon, my husband was burning a few boxes in our backyard. He came inside after he thought the fire was completely out. About 15 minutes later, we heard a knock at the door from a gentleman, his wife, and a friend who was just passing by to inform us that our "backyard was on fire." We ran outside to find not only was our backyard on fire, but the woods and brush around our house was starting to flame. I immediately called 911. The three neighborly people who stopped began assisting my husband to contain the fire which was getting close to our house. Fire departments from Cross Hill, Chappells, and Newberry County came to assist us in putting out the fire. To make a long story short, God is in control. God had dispatched angels all around to tell that fire just how far it could come without putting our home and family in danger. As you can see from the photos below, I have a well-house which the fire made a complete circle around; however, the well-house and ground around it remained untouched. The fire even went all the way under my husband's truck and could have blew it up, but God protected it. Fire spread all the way to the edge of the woods which you will see on the pictures below. The fire came to our trampoline and stopped, the fire came to our swing set and stopped; it even came within about 100feet from our house and stopped. God was definitely in control and protected our home, our children, and assisted those firemen in containing the fire so it did not start a forest fire. GOD IS SO GOOD. I've been praising him ever since and thought this is a testimony worth sharing.
If you have similar stories you can share, please add them to my guestbook page. I hope to have a blog page started soon. God Bless all of you!

Faith Tabernacle News: Sunday night, April 25, we had an amazing church service. The Lord came down and blessed everyone. We had some friends of ours visit who haven't been there since the early 90's and it made all of us so proud when they reported that our church was just the same as it was back then. Praise God! WE are thankful that God's spirit is still there and just as real as it was back then. We miss Bro. Stan and Sis. Lois (my grandparents) very dearly, but they would be so proud to know that God is still moving us on and blessing. God is GOOD! We have services on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m., Sunday morning Sunday School at 10:00 (worship service- 11:00) and Sunday night service at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome! You may contact me for directions if you need to (864) 992-8677
Praise God for a wonderful Lakelands Homecoming Singing at Bellview Baptist Church in Laurens on Sat., April 24: WOW, what an amazing time in the Lord. Betty Ann Spires of Morning Star sent out the following email message and I think she sums it up pretty well:
I am still filled
with the Spirit from Saturday night. What A Blessing ! The response from the
congregation has been so touching and inspiring. I have had phone calls from
people who were there , and at my cardiac therapy this morning everyone was
talking about how Great the Singing was and how it left them filled with the
Spirit. When I was leaving Saturday night, a lady from Greenwood appoached me
and said that 'She felt she had died and gone to Heaven and she did not want to
go home' ........ A Big Thank You to Everyone....God Granted me My Miracle and
I was able to 'Do It AGAIN!...' Everyone is continuing to pray for Joette and
Eddie and others in our association. He is An Awesome GOD.
Please e-mail
everyone and ask them to go to www.laurenssheriff.org He has
posted 3 albums of pictures that he took of everyone.........Probably close to
600 pictures . The albums are posted in the bottom right corner of his web
page.....Be sure to look at all three.....
Have A Blessed Week
! Betty Ann Spires HAPPY NEW YEAR!I pray that 2010 will be a much better year for those of you who struggled in 2009. I feel in my spirit that God cannot allow this world to continue on the way it is for much longer. However, we don't have to look at the world and it's circumstances because God is still in control. God wants us to draw closer to him this year than we have ever been. It is harvest time for Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. HE IS COMING SOON! God bless you and your families in 2010, and may you be in health and prosper. December 22, 2009:The Open Door Outreach Center had a very special evening of Christmas songs and fruit baskets for everyone. The church members even presented the pastor and his wife with a beautiful Christmas card and love offering for all they do. For those of you who are not familiar with the Open Door Outreach Center, it has a homeless shelter, Church, alcohol &
drug rehabilitation program, widows and orphans program, an
intern/leadership and ministry skills training program, and a
variety shop all on one campus. Pastor Charles Brewington and his lovely wife Melinda have and continue to bless so many lives through the Open Door Outreach ministries. Of course, they would agree that they are not the only ones who keep this fantastic work up for the Lord. Rev Charles and his wife are proud to have each of their three children and respective spouses there to help them in this work. Their youngest daughter, Victoria just turned 21 on December 22 (the same day my little girl turned 4). Of course, Victoria is not married yet, but I'm sure she's looking for a very special christian man! Ms. Geraldine, Rev. Charles' mother, is also a proud member who continues to help the outreach center grow and be a blessing. There are so many more dedicated members who are supporting the ministry and church. The community is better because of this outreach center. I love them all dearly, and I look forward to spending eternity with them in glory. The most important thing about the outreach center is that it not only helps people, but it leads them to Christ. If you would like more information about their center, please visit their website at http://www.opendoorchristiancenter.net/ I heard testimonies from several members in the program who are in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse and have given their hearts and lives to God. I thank God that there are still people, such as Charles and the members of Open Door, who still have a vision to help those in need and struggling from an addiction. It was an absolute honor for the invitation to be a part of their Christmas service to lift up the name of Jesus, who, of course, is the real reason for the season. The children put together a little program and sang Christmas carols, and many of the members shared their talent, as well. They all blessed my heart so much. I was also afforded an opportunity to share a few songs with them, as well. It was, truly, a wonderful evening.
I enjoyed the fellowship and food following the service too. Several gentlemen came to me and my manager, Cathy, to ask for prayer for their special needs. I would like each of you who visit my site to also remember those special requests. We don't have to know their names or their requests because God knows each of them and knows their need. I just would like each of you to keep them in prayer that God will continue to change their lives and meet their needs. Those of you who requested prayer know who you are, so please know that I am praying for each of you. I am praying for all of you even those who did not make their request specifically known. May God Bless All of YOU! Love in Christ, Michelle
November 7, 2009: We had a blessed day in the Lord with friends and family at True Life Tabernacle in Greer, SC. we had a good old fashioned signing, and the ministers enlightened us with God's word between the songs. It was a wonderful day.
October 27: I was voted in as a new member of the Lakelands Southern Gospel Music Association ("Lakelands SGMA"). Thank you Lakelands for allowing me to be a part of your ministry. I look forward to ministering and worshiping with you at the Christmas dinner in December, and at all of the Lakelands homecoming singings in 2010. Be sure to put the upcoming 2010 Lakelands singings on your calendar. We hope to see you there! | |
| October 18, 2009 - Faith Tabernacle Homecoming: Our homecoming was fantastic!
My
grandfather, Stan Hileman, founded the little country known as Faith
Tabernacle Full Gospel of Lake Greenwood in 1978. He could not have
done it without his lovely wife, Lois. The church is located on Skipper’s
Landing in Cross Hill. My grandfather had congestive heart failure and
went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2007 at the young age of 83. My
grandmother was diagnosed with cancer in late October 2007 and went to be with
the Lord on November 1, 2007. My parents, JD and Kim Hileman Wyatt, are
now carrying on the work my grandparents began so many years ago, and for that,
we the church, are so proud of them. Their goal is not to make this journey
about them, but to include all of us as one body of Christ just like my
grandparents would have wanted it. We decided to do something very
special this year on Homecoming in remembrance of Stan and Lois. We
decided to have a steeple built and it was unveiled on homecoming, October 18.
We appreciate Mr. James Robinson of Newbery for his hard work on the
architectural design and construction of our beautiful steeple. Not just
any steeple, but a cross steeple that glows at night to represent the light of
Jesus Christ, and to remind us of the light my grandparents were to so many
people all over the world. We may be a small church, but we have a big
heart. Friends and family came from all over South Carolina, Georgia, and
Florida to be with us on Homecoming for the special service and unveiling of
the cross steeple. A hand engraved plaque dedicating the steeple in
loving memory of Stan and Lois was hung under their picture in our church’s
foyer.
The singing group All for Him (Johnny and Sandra
Horne and Darlene Waites) have been attending our church for over ten
years. In 2004, they started their singing ministry for the Lord in their
vision to win lost souls for Jesus. They were very dear friends of my
grandparents. My grandmother traveled with them on many of their singing
destinations and supported their ministry. God blessed All for Him with a
motor home a/k/a “De Bus” a few months ago. At homecoming, the church
dedicated de bus to the Lord, and prayed for God to use it for the uplifting of
his kingdom and to give them traveling mercies on their journey to bless souls.
We are proud to share with you how much God has blessed our
little church over the past 31 years. As anything with age, our church is
in need of repairs and improvements. It was my grandparents endeavor to
complete these repairs before they passed away, but were unfortunate.
However, our needs were met and we are honored to say that the church has never
had to have a benefit or sale to assist with the costs of the repairs or
maintenance. We give God all the honor and glory! This summer we
replaced the heating and cooling unit. The floors in the fellowship hall
were replaced, and paneling was placed in hallway leading from the sanctuary to
the fellowship hall. We would like to say thank you to Mr. Robinson and
his co-workers for their hard work to replace the floors and base boards, and a
special thank you to our church member, Randy Childers of Waterloo, for
paneling the hallway. I also want to thank our faithful church members
who not only support the church, but take time out of their busy schedules to
perform maintenance and preserve the church. The church would not be
possible without each of them. God has blessed us with a wonderful group
of members, and we love them all so dearly. Each member has an important
role in the Kingdom of God, and none of this would be possible without them.
October 4: WOW! What else
can I say? We had a wonderful homecoming at New Vision Tabernacle. It
was so wonderful to see and reconnect with my dear friends from New
Vision. God blessed in more ways than I ever imagined. I want to give
Bob Tate, Pastor of New Vision a special thank you for having me sing
during their homecoming service. It was such a privilege and honor to
be part of the service. I felt so much of God's annointing in the
house. I have added photos from the service to my photos page so be
sure to check it out. God Bless! September 27: If you
were unable to attend the homecoming service at White Hall Church of
God on Sunday, you missed wonderful time in the Lord. Bro. Larry Smith
of Saluda preached, and he did a fantastic job. His sermon was titled
"Do Not let Satan put Chains on You." That is so true. The Son Light
Singers ministered in song following the preaching, and I know they
blessed everyone's heart including my own. I ministered in song
following them, and I thank God for another opportunity to lift up His
name for the Kingdom of God. I want to send a shout out to a new
friend of mine, Brian, who attends White Hall Church of God with his
wife and family. He and Shannon both blessed my heart with a wonderful
song by the Roy Knight singers. I met Brian and his family several
months ago at Marvin's Place in Greenwood at a singing. He has a good
voice and surprised me by singing He'll Do It Again, a southern gospel
favorite by Karen Wheaton, with me. He did a marvelous job
harmonizing, and we had the privilege to sing it together again at the
homecoming on Sunday. What a wonderful surprise that was! I want
to give a special thank you to the Son Light Singers for being so
caring and giving to me at the homecoming. They found out at the last
minute that I was also invited by Bro. Tommy of White Hall Church to
come and sing even though they had already been booked. The group has
blessed my heart in so many ways. We were not only happy to see each
other, but grateful for the opportunity to minister together. They
even invited me to sit with them during the service, and Bro. Elliott
ran his equipment for me during my singing. I really appreciate them,
their ministry, and the stand they have taken for Jesus Christ. They
bless me in so many ways. If you would like more information about the
Son Light Singers, visit their website at http://www.sonlightsingers.org/.
September 19: The
singing Saturday, September 19 at Friendship was such a blessing. I
met new friends, including, Standstrong Ministries (Scott Arnold and
Janet Nix.). Their music ministry was such a blessing to me as to
everyone who sang on Saturday. Scott is from Easley, SC, and I look
forward to receiving a date and time from him to worship at his church
in Greenville (more information to come). Visit their site for more
information about their ministry at www.standstrongonline.com .
Phillip Jenkins also sang on Saturday and did a marvelous job. He even
talked his wife, Janet, into helping him with a song. He and his wife
have been such a blessing to me, and I am so fortunate to have them in
my life. All for Him surprised everyone with a late entrance following
a membership meeting with the CSRA - SGMA (Central Savannah River Area-
Southern Gospel Music Association) in Georgia. Everyone was so excited
to see them and insisted they sing, of course. They have also been
such a blessing to me and my new ministry. You can visit their site
for more information about their ministry at www.allforhim.web.office.live.com.
